Each year the Royal Institute holds an essay prize competition. The winner receives £2,500 and their essay is published in Philosophy.
The topic for 2021 was 'Self and Society'.
The editors of Philosophy are delighted to announce the outcome of the 2021 essay prize. The winning entry is Jonas Faria Costa's 'On Gregariousness'. The runner up is Ernesto Garcia's
'Rethinking Acts of Conscience: Integrity, Civility, and the Common Good'. Both articles will be published in the October 2022 issue of Philosophy.
