The Royal Institute of Philosophy sponsors conferences for teachers and students of philosophy in schools and sixth form colleges, and we sponsor several events run by departments of
philosophy for schools.
Proposals for 2019/2020 conferences are now welcome
Applications to host schools conferences are now being considered -- the deadline is 31 July but decisions might be taken before then. Conferences could be aimed at teachers or at students.
Past conferences have been one-day events bringing students to a university campus to attend lectures on A-level topics, others have involved seminars with several postgraduate facilitators
leading discussions. The Institute has also funded residential conferences, with lecturers giving specialist instruction, followed by seminars and writing workshops.
